Task 01: Abstract and Concrete Concepts
Task 02: Create a Blog or Journal to document my creative process, which we are looking at.
Go online and look for three photographs(or take some pictures of your own)that each convey the following:
•A concrete concept
•An abstract concept
•A mixture of abstract and concrete concepts.
Save your three example photographs and be ready to show them next week and explain why you think they fall into each of these categories.
My first response to the concrete concept is this image of people exiting a subway train, the image does not convey any hidden meaning or metaphor and is just simply showing a real event occurring. Photo by Elena Saharova
For an abstract concept I found this interesting photo of a jar being held up against a long exposure of the universe.
Its like they are trying to capture and bottle up the universe or it could be that they are letting the universe out. Either way it is thought provoking. Photo by Rakicevic Nenad
I found an interesting mix of both concrete and abstract concepts in this photo of a dramatic long exposure of a flare stack in an oil refinery.
